The Position

As one of the first Implementation Specialists in the USA at Checkbox, you will be at the forefront of delivering successful implementations for our new customers, across our product portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that our customers are set up for success from the start, overseeing the full project lifecycle from discovery and design to implementation and handover. Your technical expertise and experience in legal operations will be key to delivering tailored solutions that meet our customers' unique needs.  

Your responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the end-to-end implementation process for new customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans and manage resources effectively.  
  • Technical Implementation: Oversee the technical aspects of implementation, including configuring the Checkbox platform, developing integrations, and ensuring all technical requirements are met. Your ability to understand and apply technical concepts will be essential. You should be able to effectively communicate with customers’ IT teams.  
  • Solution Discovery & Design: Collaborate with customers to understand their specific needs and design tailored solutions using the Checkbox platform. This includes conducting discovery workshops, scoping requirements, and creating implementation plans that align with customer objectives.  
  • Customer Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation. Provide enablement, guidance, and early-stage support to help customers get value quickly from Checkbox.  
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, particularly in legal operations. Ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle and act as the primary point of contact for all implementation-related matters.  
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks during the implementation process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Proactively address any issues that arise, keeping all stakeholders informed.  
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the implementation process, leveraging feedback from customers and internal teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.  
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, to ensure successful project delivery. Provide feedback to the product team to inform future development and enhancements.  

About You

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in the implementation of SaaS solutions. Experience in the in-house legal operations space is highly preferred but not required. You’ve been effective supporting customers in the Mid-Market to Enterprise space. 
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical acumen with experience in configuring software platforms, developing integrations, and managing technical projects. Proficiency in a coding language, (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc) and working with REST APIs is a must. 
  • Operations Expertise (Required): A deep understanding of operations and how tools are used to make teams more efficient. This can include in-house legal operations, marketing operations, sales operations, support operations, etc. 
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, delivering results on time and within budget. Experience with project management tools and methodologies is essential. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can confidently lead training sessions and workshops. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You can solve things yourself but know when it’s the right time to ask for help. 
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate uncertainty with ease. We’re a small startup that is distributed around the globe that needs to adapt quickly to any changes. 
  • Customer-Centric: A relentless focus on customer success, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships. You can delight customers and leave a good impression with them. You get joy out of your customers being successful.
